Can i substitute spreadable butter for regular butter (sticks of butter)?!

Question: I asked my dad to go out and buy me butter 'cuz I was planning on making some cookies. He came back with the spreadable kind in those little tubs. I was wondering if I could use those instead of the sticks of butter. Thanks for reading; I'm looking forward to some answers! :)

It depends on how precise your recipe needs to be. It's much harder to measure, plus "spreadable" butter usually has air whipped into it, so you won't actually get the same amount of actual butter even if you DO measure. Stick butter has measurements marked right on the wrapper.

Yes

It should work just fine.

Butter is butter.

yes it is the same

I doesn't matter at all

yes it fine.

Yes it works fine....I've done it before

I don't think so, there was been water add to the soft tub butter.

You can use it. Unless the recipe says do not substitute.
