I would love a good recipe for Key Lime Pie. Do you have one?!


Question: Key Lime Pie
Crust:

1 stick melted margarine
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
Melt margarine and mix with sugar and crumbs. Press crust on the bottom and up the sides of a 9 inch pie plate and bake for 5-7 minutes at 325 degrees.

Filling:

2 cans sweet condensed milk
1 egg
8 oz. Roses lime juice (reduced to 1/2 cup)
Whipped cream
Lime wedge for garnish
Place condensed milk, egg and lime juice in a bowl and mix until smooth. Place filling in baked pie shell and bake 6-7 minutes at 325 degrees. Cool before serving. Top with whipped cream and lime wedge as a garnish.

Key Lime Pie

1/4 cup boiling water
1 box (.3 oz) sugar free lime jello
2 containers (8 oz each) Key Lime pie yogurt
1 12 oz container of Cool Whip
1 9" graham cracker crust

Dissolve gelatin in 1/4 cup boiling water. With whisk, stir in yogurt. With wooden spoon fold in cool whip.
Transfer to crust and refrigerate overnight or at least 2 hours.

8 servings 148 calories per serving

KEY LIME PIE

1 cup graham cracker crumbs
3 tablespoons white sugar
5 tablespoons butter, melted
3 eggs
1/2 cup key lime juice
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 pinch salt
1 pinch cream of tartar
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 lime, sliced

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Mix graham cracker crumbs with sugar and melted butter. Press into 9 inch pie plate and bake for 5 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool.
Separate 2 of the eggs, placing the two egg whites into a mixing bowl. Reserve the yolks in another bowl.
To the yolks, add one whole egg, lime juice and sweetened condensed milk. Whisk until smooth. With clean mixer blades or a whisk attachment, beat the egg whites with salt and cream of tartar until stiff, but not dry. Fold whites into filling mixture. Pour filling into partially baked crust.
Bake in preheated 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) for 10 to 15 minutes or until set. Let cool at room temperature, then freeze 4 hours to overnight. Just before serving, whip cream to form stiff peaks. Serve decorated with whipped cream and lime slices.

A Best Dessert Recipe
Preparation time: 15 minutes. Serves 6-8.

Ingredients:
Juice from 2 Key limes
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 egg yolks
1 can Eagle Brand condensed milk
2 cups whipped topping or whipped cream
One 9-inch baked pie crust or graham cracker pie crust (as in picture) or chocolate crust
Grated chocolate or chocolate curls or chocolate lace for a garnish or lime slice

Instructions:
In a mixer or by hand, beat first 4 ingredients together
Fold in the whipping cream
Pour into the crust of your choice, mounding towards the center
Garnish with grated chocolate or chocolate curls or chocolate lace and/or very thinly sliced lime sections
