I make one for the missus, using a submarine baguette, sliced fillet steak (less any fat), topped with golden fried onions (fried with a teaspoon of sugar and a couple of lumps of butter), then topped with a covering of grated cheese and grilled till the cheese is melted.
The perfect philly cheese steak sandwich !

It does sound disgusting, but then again he is a bloke after all lol

Cut a good cut of steak into strips. Cut onion length ways. Fry both with a pinch of salt and pepper. Warm baguette in oven. Mix cream, a dollop of honey and bean sprouts. Put steak in baguette add the double cream and honey sauce and serve. Wait for lots of mmmms and hugs. Can I have one?

this is interesting.. but.. here's the recipe for it..
you will need a slow cooker..
for 6 steak rolls

INGREDIENTS
* 1 (4 ounce) can mushroom stems and pieces, undrained
* 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
* 1 (6 ounce) package seasoned stuffing mix
* 1 3/4 pounds beef flank steak (you can use any kind of steak.)
* 1 (.75 ounce) packet dry brown gravy mix
* 1/4 cup chopped green onion
* 1/4 cup dry red wine or beef broth

DIRECTIONS

1. In bowl, toss the mushrooms, butter and dry stuffing mix. Spread over steak to within 1 in. of edges. Roll up jelly-roll style, starting with a long side; tie with kitchen string. Place in a slow cooker.

2. Prepare gravy mix according to package directions; add onions and wine or broth. Pour over meat. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours. Remove meat to a serving platter and keep warm. Strain cooking juices and thicken if desired. Remove string from roll-up; slice and serve with gravy.

I hope this is helpful.

what what in the butt

It sounds like you kind of stir fried it together with slices of beef.I would add green pepper, mushrooms, garlic and whatever seasoning you like to use.Add a little cream and stir until it is reduced.I wouldn't add the honey.
You might have added a dash of worchestershire or soy sauce.

Get your boyfriend to ask his friend for the recipe. Why put yourself through all this for something that sounds totally disgusting anyway?

Steak rolls, yum, yum. my favourite way to make a steak roll is take some frying steak, flash fry. warm a couple of baguettes in the oven. Top bread with some lettuce tomatoes, fried onions and mustard. This is making me feel hungry.
