How do you store yeast?!

Question: How do I store a partially opened packet of yeast? I usually only use half a packet at a time while making bread. Will using yeast from that open packet in anyway effect the quality of my bread?

I always use a full packet, but if you have to store it, put it in a zip bag, and keep in the refrigerator

In a cool, dry place. Usually, it comes in foil packets so you could fold it over and then use it within a reasonable amount of time and it should be fine. I can't imagine why you would only use 1/2 a pack though.

I keep my yeast in a jar in the fridge. I have never had a prob. with it stored that way, I buy it by the 5 lb pkg.
