Boiled Eggs!?!

Question: I had cooked two boiled eggs for my salad Im going to eat for lunch. I have a "eggstractor"thing that takes the shell of of the egg without your hand touching it or whatever. I let it cook on 7 for about 15 minutes and I took one and it was still liquidy. IT was more like solid, but not cooked. I put the other one back into the water for it to cook more. Is it because I didnt cook them long enough? Or was the egg bad?

You just have to cook them longer. I usually put mine on a very low boil and just leave them for like 30 minutes before I take them out. It doesnt hurt them to say in a little longer and then you can be sure that they are done.

mmm, eggs are my best friend.

It was not long enough. But be careful if you cook them to long they get this faint green color to them and their tougher to eat. Pput them in for 20 min next time on the same setting.

Put your eggs in a pan & cover with cold water. Bring water to a rolling boil, remove pan from heat source, cover and let stand for 10 minutes. Pour off the hot water and rinse in cold water (I add ice cubes to speed up cooling). Remove shell (if desired) and enjoy. You will have the prefect boiled egg.

you need to let them cool before you peel them.

I cover my eggs in cold water, bring them to a rapid boil and start my timer then. I allow them to boil for exactly 12 minutes remove from heat, drain and run cold water over them to cool them off. They are always perfect when I follow these instructions. I hope this helps!

Hi,
You have to cook them for longer.
You can boil water in a pan, then add the eggs and then keep in in low heat for about 20minutes. Then turn off the heat and let it cool well. Once cool, remove the shell.
Cheers..

Sometimes even though an egg is fully hard boiled, there will be a pocket of liquid inside the shell when peeling. The cooking time you described should be enough. I start mine in cold water, bring to a rapid boil for about a minute, turn off and cover pan, set aside for about 15 mins. They're perfect.

I don't know what an "eggstractor" is but your eggs should have been hard boiled in 15 min.s. What I do is put the eggs in a pot and cover with 1 in. of water, bring to a boil, cover and remove from heat. Let stand about 15 mins. for hard boiled and about 10 mins. for soft boiled. When done I pour off water from pan, put lid back on and shake well to crack eggs. Fill pan with cold water let stand a few mins. then peel under cold running water. The water will help force the shell off and make peeling easy.
