Where is it cheaper to buy groceries, Food Max or Smart and Finals?!

Question: I need to get a lot of ingredients(flour, sugar, etc.) for a baking club at school and will buy at least enough for thirty people to bake muffins. My teacher tells me Smart and Finals is cheaper but someone else said Food Max is cheaper. So...what do you guys think?

This is in bay area CA btw.

Go to Food Maxx not only are they a little cheaper but have a much wider variety. I live in Tracy, Ca and drive to Modesto to shop at Winco, which is much cheaper, cleaner, and better stocked than Food Maxx. But since there is not a Winco closer to the Bay then go to Food Maxx.

I'm way down here in Texas but I say go with what your teacher says. She gives the grades.

where ever you live
the best choices are always
Cosco
Sams Club
or Walmart

-U may need a Card for Sams or Cosco but,
Trust me if you ever need something its a great
card to get out of the way and sign up 4...
its not a credit card! just a membership! =)

I find buying those ingredients in stores like Costco, Sam's Club, or even Winco.

I've been to Smart and Final for the 1st time and found that store some what expensive. The only thing that I was surprised was that they have great supply of kitchen items, but find the prices to high.

I shop at Smart and Final because the stores are usually cleaner than Food Maxx.
