Anniversary tonight. What to cook for dinner?!

Question: Keep things simple:
Go to the deli and get some smoked salmon and good bread. Mix up a mixed salad. Pick up a few bottles of white wine.

it would be cool for you to recreate what you ate for your first meal together, at home! now i feel a little guilty as i forgot what mine and my bf's 'first meal' was :( haha

if you want something romantic, break out the fondue pots....

traditional swiss fondue for appetizer....

fondue bourginonne for main course

Salmon filet's poached in White wine, steamed asparagus, Risotto with bacon and chives and something sinfully chocolaty for dessert. Oh..and Champagne of course.

I would probably make my significant others favorite meal and just have a candlelight dinner at home. Play some soft music in the background and just stare into each others eyes all night long.

Since it is not known what type of food you like, it is very difficult to suggest a meal.

Today is a vegetarian day for us.
A tomato soup. And potato chips as starters.

We had some cottage cheese cooked in a sauce of tomatoes and spices.

A mixed vegetable: cooked with a paste of Melon seeds, poppy seeds, cashew nuts and a felw almonds. Added raisins to it.

A rice pudding with brown sugar.

And rice pulao.

Maybe you could do the same.

Happy Anniversary!

Filet Mignon, a warm Pasta Salad, Chocolate Decadent Cake w/ sauce, or Red Velvet, (You can buy these cakes @ the store with the wine. LOL) Wine, Candles, etc...

1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup all-purpose flour or cake flour
4 eggs, separated
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 tbs. butter
2 tbs. corn syrup

Heat oven to 325°F.
Grease a spring form pan, 8x2 1/2 inches, or round pan 9x1 inches. Heat 1 cup of chocolate chips and 1/2 cup of butter in a 2-quart heavy saucepan over medium heat until chocolate chips are melted; cool 5 minutes. Stir in flour until smooth.
