Liquid meals?!

Question: I am starting out as a contortionist.

To perform effectively, I cannot eat solid food directly before a performance, but I need to meet my nutritional needs so as not to lose muscle mass.
As nice as instant soup and yoghurt are, I know that I will get sick of them quite quickly.

Any body know any good liquid meals that i can make?

There are plenty of protein and ready to drink meals available in just about any market. Slim Fast and Pure Protein are two brands that I have used consistently in my physical training and especially before high intensity work outs and performances. There are also a number of ingredients you can add to shakes to liven up the flavor and nutritional content. Peanut butter, chocolate, fruits and even vegetables can be mixed with dairy and fruit/vegetable juices in many combinations. As long as you are not on a permanent liquid diet, it shouldn't get boring. Plus, by mixing in the occasional weight gain formula found at any local nutrition center you shouldn't even have to worry about muscle loss. Good luck in your future performances!

Try Slimfast or Complan - (slimfast is nicer but less calories).
Both contain all the vitamns and minerals you need.

Why don't you just make normal soup, it doesn't have to be instant but there are loads and loads of recipes for different soups and you can make them fresh. Make them before-hand and then eat it before your show. Keep it nice and hot in a thermos flask. With thousands of gr8 recipes for soup out there you won't get bored fast!

It's my standby - 5X day! :o) Almost no sugar, just pure whey protein.
