Are there specific ways to cook carrots that can lessen the sweetness?!
Answers: I love the texture of cooked carrots, but I dislike the sweet 'center'. I have tried boiling, steaming, salting them, but I can't cut that sweetness out. When my boyfriend's mother cooks them, they never taste sweet. Is there a special trick or ingredient that cancels out that sweetness?
Carrots are by nature loaded with sugars.
You might go get some parsnips and cook them or some turnips. Both have a lessor sugar content than carrots. and the same texture when cooked.
