Cooking ancient rome cake?!


Question: I have to make a cake for Social Studies. we are having an Ancient Rome/Greek feast. I want to decorate it for the occasion. Any ideas on what I can decorate it with???

I am a former chef and a food history buff, here is a like to a german based site with some dessert ideas, I downloaded the lot and did several Toga partys and served the foods from these pages.

woa sounds pretty hard

when you put trim on only put it half way to make it look like the things they have on there head and make it look like leaves

During this time the name for cake was "placenta". Another name they used was "Libum" and these cakes were used in religious ways. The Placenta cake was much like a cheesecake on top of a pastry base.
