Bean Dip

INGREDIENTS
1 (16 ounce) can refried beans
1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
1 tomato, chopped
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, mix refried beans, taco seasoning mix and tomato. Allow the mixture to simmer approximately 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Spoon the mixture into a medium serving bowl. Top with Cheddar cheese and serve warm.

2 cups (455g) nonfat refried beans, (one can)

1/4 cup (60g) fresh salsa

4 ounces (115g) reduced fat Cheddar cheese*, grated

1/4 cup (9g) fresh cilantro, chopped, optional

Reduced fat or fat free chips

Directions
Combine all ingredients except cilantro in a small saucepan, and heat just until cheese melts (about 5 minutes over medium heat). Alternately, place in a microwaveable dish and heat for 2–3 minutes.

Top with chopped cilantro if desired and serve with chips.

* Allergy notes: The egg protein lysozyme is an unlabeled additive in some cheeses. People allergic to eggs should eliminate any cheese in this recipe.

sprinkle some cheese on top , or add some salsa.
You could add chedder , mozzarella , american , it all tastes good .
All you have to do it cook the refried beens and then stick them in a bowl , and sprinkle the cheese on top , then stick it in the microwave...and sometimes the salsa doesn't taste soo good , it depends on what kind you get , so you might want to test the salsa on some first , because it doesn't always work...you dont want it to taste bad .

you can also add a lot different herbs , i guess and some spicy flavoring if not salsa.

just be creativer , but not to creative , and try to make it just right , you know kind of simple but creative.

Add a bunch of colby jack and taco bell taco sause packets to it, heat it up and serve. Done in like 5 min, and everybody loves it! I like the mild sauce, and I use about 20-30 packets, maybe 1/2 cup cheese. Yum!

2 tbsp of vinegar, and about 1 tsp garlic powder.

If you don't want to do the typical 7 Layer Dip, then go with this one:

Hot Bean Dip

INGREDIENTS
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream
2 (16 ounce) cans refried beans
1/2 (1 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
5 drops hot pepper sauce
2 tablespoons dried parsley
1/4 cup chopped green onions
1 (8 ounce) package shredded Cheddar cheese
1 (8 ounce) package shredded Monterey Jack cheese

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a medium bowl, blend the cream cheese and sour cream. Mix in the refried beans, taco seasoning, hot pepper sauce, parsley, green onions, 1/2 the Cheddar cheese and 1/2 the Monterey Jack cheese. Transfer the mixture to an 8x12 inch baking dish. Top with remaining Cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses.
Bake in the preheated oven 20 to 30 minutes, until cheese is slightly browned.

Brown some ground beef or turkey. Drain and discard the fat. Add the beans to the meat with grated cheese and some salsa. Serve with chips and sour cream. Avacodo chunks are nice too.
