Have you ever put oatmeal in your pancake batter before frying it?!
Answers: I'm not sure of whether I should do that, have just oatmeal, or have just pancakes.
I am a former chef, I make a whole grain/multi grain one, with oat bran, barley flour, flax seeds, rye flakes, cormeal and a packaged mix (for the leavening), then I use an egg milk and a bit of oil.
I serve them with various syrups, fruitbased and vegan maple syrup and real maple syrup, even stewed fruits like apples and strawberries, it may sound strange even a dried fruit compote with prunes, apricot, dried apples and pears cooked it syrup with cinnimon sticks, lemon rind and cloves, just watch with all the fiber you not spending all you day in a private room??
well if you want both have both.
that would be an interesting mix if i do say so myself..
yes indeed. I love oat cakes. They are very good topped with sour cream and a touch of maple syrup or applesauce. For best results: either run the oatmeal through the food processor or blender if using immediately or, how I do it, is prepare the batter the night before.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!!!!!!
Have just pancakes....Delicious!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY.HOPE ALL UR WISHES COME TRUE :D
Absolutely, great way to use up leftover oatmeal.
Fry them a bit crisp around the edges and serve with lots of butter and maple sirup.
My mom also put a dish of brown sugar on the table with the pancakes. I like to put butter on while they are hot, let it melt, then sprinkle on a bit of the brown sugar.
YUMMY!
