Help--a weird egg incident?!

Question: I just fried some eggs(just bought them) and they look strange in the pan. they bubbled and separated around the edges into little stringy dots. it reminds me of how something looks when it's spoiled. oh, and I was just making them sunny side up. are they safe to eat?

Never Take Chances with Food...!!

do they smell yucky? they're just eggs anyway, it's best to be safe than sorry and just throw them out and make new ones. you wouldn't wanna get sick would you?

hmmm not to say that it is impossible to get things from the supermarket that are bad but I go with when in doubt throw out.

Sounds as if they have been slightly frozen. You would have known the second you cracked them open if they had been bad as it's an awful smell. I would say they are quite safe to eat.

It's always better to be safe than sorry, you may only wind up with an upset stomach, but my advice, TURF 'em.

when in doubt...throw it out. always.

If they smell normal, then they're safe. If the smell or taste is unpleasant, then throw out. Or give them as a treat to your dog.

I agree with Myra. They might have been frozen. There only eggs.Try making a couple more and turn the heat down on your pan...maybe also???
You would know if they were bad.....

it does sound like they got frozen.

of course they look strange in the pan, after all, they are underdeveloped chicken embryos. enjoy!
