EASY SWEDISH MEATBALLS

INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1/4 pound Jimmy Dean sausage (or favorite ground sausage)
1 egg
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon dry mustard
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 clove minced garlic
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon pepper

Sauce:
2 cans Cream of Mushroom soup
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 dash Tabasco sauce
1/4 cup milk
PREPARATION:
Mix all ingredients together for the meat mixture. DO NOT OVER MIX! Roll into small balls and place on cookie sheet. Bake 45 minutes or until browned. In a medium bowl mix sauce ingredients together. Place meatballs in a skillet or crock pot.
Simmer for 45 minutes. May be used as main dish served over rice or noodles or as an appetizer served with toothpicks.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 pound ground pork
3 cups soft bread crumbs
1/2 cup milk
2 eggs. beaten
1 onion, chopped
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground sage
salt and pepper
4 tablespoons bacon drippings or vegetable oil
2 cans mushroom soup
1 cup sauteed mushrooms


Directions:

Mix all except last three ingredients and form into 1 inch balls. Brown them in bacon drippings. Remove to baking dish.

Make mushroom gravy in skillet by adding mushroom soup. Pour gravy over the meatballs; bake 1 1/2 hours at 325F.

When ready to serve add mushrooms to meatballs and gravy; serve over rice or noodles.

No, but I have a SWEDISH meatball recipe.

Make tiny meatballs with three meats, brown, add 2 cans beef stock and 2 cups ginger snaps. Heat and stir until snaps dissolve and gravy thickens. Too thick? Add water.

Swedish Meatballs

11/2 Lbs of ground beef
1/4 Lb of Jimmy Dean Sausage
1 egg
1/4 c. catsup
2 TBSP. Worcestershire
1 TBSP. soy sauce
1 clove of minced garlic
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. pepper

roll into balls and bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour (times may vary)


Sauce
2 10z.cans of cream of mushroom
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 dash tabasco sauce
1/4 c. milk
heat sauce thoroughly before serving
