Do you know the recipe for concrete cake?!


Question: schools sell this cake. it's a hard chocolate cake. sometimes there is sugar spread on top. it tastes really nice but i cant find the recipe

Just found this on the internet. Hope it helps:

10 and a half oz Self Rising flour
8 and threequarters oz margarine[hard]
8 and threequarter oz white sugar
1 oz cocoa
1 egg
Melt the marg. and add dry ingredients. Add the egg. Press into a greased shallow tin. Brush with water and sprinkle with sugar.
Gas mark 1. Electric 275 deg.F for 20 mins.

Isn't that Ice Cream Cake? They call it Concrete Cake because it is frozen solid....

Chocolate Concrete Cake

10 1/2 oz self rising flour
8 and three quarters oz margarine (not soft)
8 and three quarters oz white sugar
1 oz cocoa
1 egg

1. Melt the margarine
2. Add dry ingredients. Add the egg.
3. Press into a greased shallow tin.
4. Brush with water and sprinkle with sugar.
