How long do you bake fish? I'm cooking it on 375F wrapped in foil?!
Answers: depends on the fish but if it's a small fish, not like tuna or shark, i'd cook it for about 20 minutes. i've always done orange ruffy in foil, too with lemon and olive oil and 20 minutes usually is all it needs, 30 if bigger pieces.
20 min
Depends on the thickness. I would cook for 15 mins, then test with a fork. If it flakes, it is done!
about 20 mins in foil and 5 mins with top part of the foil open.. brown top tastes good :)
I think rule of thumb is 5-10 min per inch thickness or until fish flakes easily with a fork The other is that color should turn from opaque to white or pink (salmon). I Like fish on the grill. You can still do the foil thing turning once or use a fish basket also turning once. If you use lemon/lime juice to marinade it will speed cooking time. Enjoy
If you are cooking carp...
Get a piece of wood slight longer than the carp. Lay the carp directly on the board and pound it with a meat tenderizer until you are satisifed. Then, on both sides, rub the carp with seasonings such and salt, pepper, garlic salt, Italian seasoning, Greek seasoning, Roman seasoning, Spanish seasoning, Cajun seasoning, etc. Drizzle with a little melted butter and olive oil. Bake in the oven for about 4 and a half hours at 450 degrees. It is done when the meat starts to shrivel and burn a little around the edges. When done, discard the carp and eat the board.
15 min or until it flakes apart with a fork. It depends on the thickness of the fish. If very thick it may take a few more min. The fork test will tell if it is done or not.
