Why do people ask for recipes on yahoo? when they can go right to sites with actual recipes?!

Question: because people are ignorant and lazy. what is the use of having a computer and Internet access if you can't use it to do research on things like this? 90% of 'best answers' are just cut and paste from a website or wikipedia.
some questions are so poorly written and mispelled that it is sometimes impossible to determine exactly what the question is. there is no puncuation, no syntax. one person asked "how do you boil water"? was this question for real, or was someone playing on th web just to see what reaction they got?
i suppose that there are young people out there who ask genuine questions, looking for informative answers, but the rest? don't they really know how to cook? how does one get by without knowing the basics of cooking? if you are on this site for any length of time, wouldn't you begin to grasp some of the basic concepts?
websites are not that hard to find. punch in the recipe or food you want, and your monitor will be flooded with information.
oh well, these are the kind of people who keep this site open, and you an i occupied.
carry on (i guess).

Because people dont know what sites to go to so they ask and other people discover recipes that are good the internet dosent

because they want personal input on tried and tested recipes

Because the recipes that you get on here are things that people actually cook a lot. I also look on other sites, but it is interesting to see what people like. You can't ask a website it's favorite recipe!! =)

I have often responded to questions asking for recipes and I love sharing my recipes. I guess that's why people ask for them, they want a real person to give them something they actually have made and liked.

Some people do not know how to use their search engine. Some of these people are kids and teenagers.

And some people want the personal touch.

Because cooks and foodies always like sharing recipes and feedback. And they want a source someone has trusted rather than a stab in the dark.

People don't know what the sites are so they ask.

because there as thick as two short planks ?
