Prepare canned goods?!

Question: I've got some canned vegetables (carrots and peas) which I would like to prepare. But how are you supposed to prepare them. Microwave, a pan and do you use butter. I know it's a rather silly question, but normally I use fresh veggies. And also when you want to eat mashed potatos mixed with carrots, is it correct then that you first have to cook the carrots.
Thanks a lot.

it's just heat and heat. microvave just till hot. or on stove top till hot that's it. oh and yes cook carrots first.

If they're canned, they're really already cooked, or parboiled. Open the can, empty into a pot and just heat. I usually drain them after and add some butter.

If you're mixing with mashed, do the same, but then I would drain well and omit the butter part.

Canned vegetables are easy just put in microwave with some seasoning and heat for a couple minutes I like fresh or frozen also whenever possible

Microwave or heat in a pan, and stop heating as soon as it starts to boil. Then add butter, margarine, or olive oil & lemon if you like. That's my way, anyway.

Another quick and easy is after it's heated, put a slice or two of American cheese on it to melt.
