How To Freeze a Cheesecake
Source: Home Matters (Discovery Channel)

If cheesecake was baked in a springform pan see instructions below*

Wrap cooled cheesecake tightly in plastic wrap, then heavy aluminum foil. Label with date and contents. Freeze up to 1 month.

To Serve
Defrost the wrapped cheesecake in the refrigerator overnight. Uncover the cheesecake and let it sit at room temperature 1 hour before serving. Leftover cheesecake can be covered with plastic wrap and stored in the refrigerator up to 5 days.

*If baked in a springform pan:
Use a small sharp knife to loosen the cheesecake from the sides of the springform pan. Release the sides of the springform pan. Either leave the cheesecake on the springform bottom or use the knife to loosen the crust from the bottom of the pan. Slide the removable bottom of a tart pan under the crust and move the cheesecake to a serving plate or cardboard cake circle.

Happy Cooking!

don't see why not. You can freeze most things, and you can freeze cheese, even cream cheese, and fruit.

I`d think so as you can buy them frozen from the supermarket

Yes. No problem. But like everything else, you cannot re-freeze once defrosted.
Keep me a slice!

use homogenised cream and make sure the fruit you use has been blanched homogenising and blanching make the respective products suitable to freeze

Sure can! And I must say frozen cheesecake is GREAT.

As long as non of the ingredients have been frozen before you made the cheesecake yes. most fresh made dishes can be frozen as long as they are well wrapped or put in air tight containers.

Funny you should ask that question. I make cheese cakes all the time and I ALWAYS freeze them immediately after removing from the oven. I have found them easier to work with by freezing first and then removing from the freezer, letting sit for 30 minutes or more. Then I remove from the springform pan and slice.
