Is it safe to freeze cooked food that was frozen raw?!

Question: It might sound a silly question but is it safe for example to defrost raw stewing beef, cook a stew with it and then freeze the cooked stew afterwards (or any other meat?)

It certainly is - do it all the time and I am still alive with no problems.
