When you defrost something in the microwave and it cooks a little it is fine to go ahead and cook the rest of it and eat it. The parts that cooked in the microwave won't taste as good, and may get to be drier then the rest, but it is cooked and you won't get sick from it (unless the meat was bad in the first place).

No, you can't get sick, it's fine to cook just make sure it gets above 140F

eew!

i wouldn't eat it!

As long as you finish cooking it i'm sure you'll be fine

I've done that before with chicken and i never got sick

As always it depends on what it is. It's generally not recommended to cook anything in the microwave simply because it won't ever be taste as good or be of the optimum texture and flavor.

That said, yes, of course it's possible, but again, not recommended because it won't be as good as traditional methods of cooking.

My boyfriend and I do it all the time,
and we never get sick from it, so i don't see why not. :]

No for both questions.

most microwaveable foods are already pre-cooked ,so the reason for us to put it inside the microwave is just to basically heat it up and <defrost> the food...as a person who basically lived and probably will die with microwaveable foods...it is safe to eat them but please be careful to not give it to young children as their stomach might not be able to take it especially for chicken and anything that has an egg based to it...

and anyways ,it is always better to semi cook your meals as if it gets too cooked...it'll be like eating rubber bands...
good luck

you won't get sick, but the preferred method of defrosting is overnight in the fridge, or in an emergency, soaking in cold water.

I've never heard of anyone getting sick from semi cooking chicken in the microwave before fully cooking it - unless you leave it to stew in the chicken juices. Because the juices (salmonella) soaking into the the chicken will make you sick - same as if you haven't cooked the chicken completely.

it's fine to eat it would be like cooking the whole thing it the microwave and eating it. you won;t get sick just make sure it reaches the proper tempature.....good eating

No. A microwave cooks from the inside out, so if the meat is frozen or semi-cooked and hasn't been in the refrigerator too long; it is fine. That's what the defrost is for on the microwave. You can cook it most of the way or all the way and then bake, fry, etc. to get your desired recipe or product. You can also just defrost it and then cook it any way you want, but you must cook it right after defrosting.
