Did you ever try Spike? Delish sprinkled on tomatoes.

Tomato, lettuce, cheese & mayo with salt & pepper is great!!

Me, me, me.....holding up hand and waving.

Have you tried scrabbled eggs with sliced tomatoes on the side. I heard somewhere that this was one dish Princess Diane liked so I tried it. Wow, very good.

Homegrown tomatoes and white bread and mayo. No salt & pepper though.
A german purple tomato is the very best ever for a 'mater sandwich!

I do! Tomato & mayo and sometimes cheese, on a nice dark wholegrain bread. Sometimes I add sprouts too. Yum!

Yeah, home grown tomatoes, with mayo on sourdough toast. And if I can afford the calories some apple wood smoked bacon and lettuce. Of course kosher salt and lots of fresh ground pepper. YUM, YUM!

Taking the sandwich to a higher level...

Chipoltle/lime mayo w/cracked black pepper
Vine ripe tomatoes/or roma.

OMG! That is my all time favorite sandwhich!!!! But it has to be white bread and fresh ground s&p.

MEEE! Must be homegrown tomatoes, not hothouse crap

I do, best thing in the world to eat in the summertime when it's hot, and the tomatoes are fresh out of the garden, YUM! Though I do like to use Miracle Whip instead of mayo sometimes, it just gives it a nice flavor. It's also great on toast instead of just regular bread. We grew up making these all the time when I was younger.

I'm with Nick M. but I also add a couple of rings of Red onions. I like them on butered/toasted light rye bread!.

I love them in the summer time when the tomatoes taste the best. Also, it's to die for if you add a little grated sap sago cheese to it. (A type of imported goat cheese). YUMM!

OMG I grew up on them!! Now my grandson has to have them when he comes over! Sometimes I add a lettuce leaf to the sandwich.
