Have you tried topping your hotdogs and fried eggs with gravy?!
Answers: Tomato ketchups always blend well but I'd like to know some good matches
They are SO good!
For gravy :
INGREDIENTS
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
3/4 cup buttermilk
1/3 cup water
salt and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS
Heat vegetable oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat, and stir in the onion. Cook onion until tender, then set aside. Stir flour into the saucepan. Slowly cook and stir in the remaining oil 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
Whisk the buttermilk into the flour mixture. Blend in the water, adjusting the amount as necessary to attain desired consistency. Season with salt and pepper. Serve with the reserved onions.
Top hotdog with:
Cheese
then
Gravy
then Fried Egg
then ketchup
Enjoy!
I don't eat hotdogs, eggs, or gravy, so the answer would have to be no, I have not tried eating them all together. It sounds revolting.
try pace picante and ketchup mixed together. It makes a great sauce for fishstix too and shrimp. I personaly love ketchup and mustard mixed together for my corndogs and polish sausages. Tartar sauce with Lousiana hot sauce mixed together is good on fish too, I even put it on my fish tacos.
Hotdogs always with small amount of cheese, mustard and loaded with pickles- Yummm!
Maple syrup is good.
Skip the darn Ketchup.
Gravy might be just fine, though I would think it to be a bit too salty a combination since the hotdogs contain a huge amount of salt on their own. If I had to choose gravy, it would be white buscuit style gravy though.
no but i will try it 2morow!!
Colman's mustard is tops....x
no. if you substitute hotdogs with sausages then it is great, hotdogs to me mean ketsup with pickled onions and hot mustard.
