What dish?

Usually an average amount would be no more than 1 1/2 tsp. of basil per serving. But you can put however much in it you want..

about 5 big handfuls/ finely chopped

It would be nice if you'd tell us wtf you're making.

depends on the recipie and how much u like basil.

about 3/4 of a pound i'd say.

i never follow quantitative recipes

everything you cook should be "to feel" or "to taste"

How much basil you like is how much basil goes into your dish.

lol Happy Cooking. I just spent several seconds trying to figure out if I was missing something cuz I couldn't tell what dish she was asking about. :)

If you're using dried basil, crush it in your hand or between your fingers as you add it so it brings out the flavor more.

That's about all I can say without knowing what you're talking about.

It's hard to overdo basil as it's not a particularly pungent herb imho.

Only you, Kenny the Great, can determine the correct amount of basil.

A LOT !!!

x

to taste

It depends on "what dish" and if "this dish" calls for fresh basil or dried basil.
