When making tea, why boil it, cool it , sweeten it, then add lemon to sour it?!

Question: all in the matter of a few minutes.

Answers: all in the matter of a few minutes.

Just to ask... WHY???? (typical male) LOL j/k

i think the lemon is good for you and it taste good :)

To me lemon doesn't sour it. It flavors the tea.

just because YOU hate lemon.......some of us like it.

Boiling the tea allows its molecules to disburse into the water.
Sweetening tea, or adding lemon, are a matter of taste.
I like sweet tea, my husband prefers tea with lemon only.

its all a matter of taste...

Well, lemon is all about personal flavor, as well as adding sugar. The boiling and "cooking" or brewing as it should be called, is so you can get the most flavor out of the dried tea leaves.

I don't like lemon in my tea. I love to drink it sweetened with lots of ice. Boiling it allows the flavor of the tea bags to come out........and it tastes better cold.................

First of all, tea should not be boiled, but steeped. Meaning to boil the water then add tea with a lid on it. Lemon simply gives a brighter flavor to the tea

why not?
