Answers: Throwing a party tomorrow. Need a good french dip recipe. Here is the recipe I have... any suggestions? Could I add anything to this recipe to make it more flavorful or do you have a better recipe? Thanks!

sounds like you have it covered. I would add some garlic powder and a tab or two of butter.
Here's our recipe for French Dip. We have the same ingredients, but our process is different.
1 cup water, or as needed
1 (.9 ounce) package dry onion soup mix
1 (1 ounce) packet dry au jus mix
1 (2 pound) beef chuck roast
12 hoagie rolls, split lengthwise
1 (8 ounce) package shredded mozzarella cheese
1. Stir together water, onion soup mix, and au jus mix in a slow cooker. Add beef, cover, and cook on High for 5 hours, or until tender. When the beef is tender, shred the meat with two forks, and continue cooking on Low 1 to 2 hours.
2. To serve, open the hoagie buns, and spoon meat mixture into the center. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and serve.
no.. just buy precooked roast beef and grill it in a pan and then through it on a roll that has been toasted or grilled with butter and then get an au juice package or a beef base compound.
INGREDIENTS
* 4 pounds rump roast
* 1 (10.5 ounce) can beef broth
* 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed French onion soup
* 1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle beer
* 6 French rolls
* 2 tablespoons butter
DIRECTIONS
1. Trim excess fat from the rump roast, and place in a slow cooker. Add the beef broth, onion soup and beer. Cook on Low setting for 7 hours.
2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
3. Split French rolls, and spread with butter. Bake 10 minutes, or until heated through.
4. Slice the meat on the diagonal, and place on the rolls. Serve the sauce for dipping.
