lots! you can add peppers, onions, any kind of sausage, chili powder is good, I love rice because it's like a blank canvas. you can add almost anything to it and it's really good! my favorite is to add chopped broccoli and chicken stock

I like to brown my rice with oil before I add any liquid. When I add the liquid I also add teriyaki sauce, garlic, salt , pepper, frozen peas and a scrambled egg. The kids think I brought home Chinese food!

black beans and salsa!

Tumeric, ginger, garlic and black pepper. Yum!

brockilli and cheese

add craw fish if not a fan do leeks an onions with a nice gravy yum oh

mushrooms, sliced hotdogs, any old thing you can think of...

use coconut milk in cooking brown rice. fry or put some herbs and salt so it will taste better.

shrimp, peas, seasonings such as soy sauce and sesame oil and herbs such as cilantro for an asian twist

I add chopped onion sauted in oil before I add the rice and proper amount of chicken stock instead of water. After its cooked I like to add some vegetables and sometimes lite soy sauce. Oh and some chopped up scrambled egg and scallion to sort of make my own chinese rice.

sautee mushrooms, add rice and sautee a little longer. cook in chicken stock instead of water and when done, stir in a few tablespoons of butter. it comes out like risotto, so creamy and delicious!

1-Make your own cajun feast w/ onions peppers, celery, cajun spice, kielbasa sausage, shrimp, tasso ham.

2-For rice as a side dish, in my restaurant I like to add, sliced green onions, toasted sliced almonds, and ground parmesan cheeese.

3-Try making your own asian style fried rice
a-) Thai, hot oil, then onion, garlic, sambal chili paste, chicken, green onion, pineapple, shrimp or chicken, eggs, salt, pepper, soy, cilantro garnish.

4-Toasted pine nuts, sundried cranberries

5-Make it into a cool risotto, onion, white wine, chicken stock, tarragon, parmesan. 1st you heat olive oil, add onions, and precooked brown rice, saute then add white wine, cook and gently stir, when wine dissapears add stock, do this until the rice is how you like it, finish with seasoning and parmesan cheese.

6-Paella, heat olive oil, garlic, onions, diced fresh chicken breast, diced tomatoes, green peas, pre-cooked brown rice, saffron chicken stock. Some markets have a Goya section, they have sazon goya con saffron, use this, it is cheap, tastes great. Garnish this dish w/ julienne spanish paquilla peppers or regular red peppers, You can also add shrimp, lobster, mussels and have a rustic meditteranean dinner.

Bon appetite!

in a separate skillet, cook some onions and chopped celery down in some butter. add the cooked rice and stir until coated. i'm hungry.
