Yes, egg whites and vinegar. Additional spices are usually added, also. If you have or can get a hold of an old mason jar canning book, I once seen a recipe in there for real mayonnaise.

You need the yolks.
I don't know if "egg beaters" would work.Can purchase them in the dairy section of your grocery store.

no you can not well not without all sorts of stabalisers and other additives so if you want to then try making it .
but mayonase is an emolsion between oil and egg yolks it works but oil or frease will effect egg whites in a way that will not emolsify
