Answers: Well I want to do some baking but I was wondering if anyone has in special really good recipies they are willing share?? I was thinking biscuits or a slice or maybe a cake...??
Caramel Rolls
24 Rhodes frozen rolls, frozen
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
1/2 cup butter
1 package cook n serve butterscotch pudding, dry
1/2 cup brown sugar
--The night before, grease 10x13 pan and place frozen rolls in bottom then sprinkle 1/2 cup white sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 cup chopped nuts and then dry pudding over top. In medium saucepan, melt 1/2 cup butter and 1/2 cup brown sugar and pour over top of rolls. Place pan on counter and cover lightly with paper towels and let thaw and rise overnight. In the morning uncover and bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. Turn out onto serving dish and serve warm.
Lunch Ladies Peanut Butter Bars
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
1 cup peanut butter, creamy
2 cups oatmeal, not quick
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
--Cream first three ingredients together. Add the vanilla, eggs and peanut butter and combine. Add the remaining ingredients and mix together. Spread dough on a greased sheet cake pan. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes until golden brown. While hot spread 1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter on top. Cool so that the peanut butter has become solid again then spread chocolate frosting on top and cut into bars.
My Grandma's Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
3/4 cup margarine
1 cup chunky peanut butter
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1 egg
1 cup oatmeal
1 1/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup chocolate chips or M&M's
--Cream margarine, peanut butter, and brown sugar. Beat in egg. Stir together oatmeal, flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir into creamed batter. Stir in chocolate chips. Bake on cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
My Mom's Famous Banana Bread
1 1/2 cups sugar
3/4 cup shortening
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1 1/2 cups mashed bananas
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
3 cups flour
3/4 cup nuts (optional)
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
3/4 cup all-bran cereal
--Preheat oven to 350. Cream shortening with sugar, add beaten eggs and milk. Sift together flour, salt, and baking soda and add to batter alternating with the banana. Add nuts, then All-Bran and vanilla. Pour into 2 greased loaf pans and bake for 50-60 minutes.

Pumpkin Roll
Ingredients:
CAKE
1/4 cup powdered sugar (to sprinkle on towel)
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 large eggs
1 cup granulated sugar
2/3 cup LIBBY'S? 100% Pure Pumpkin
1 cup walnuts, chopped (optional)
FILLING
1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, at room temperature
1 cup powdered sugar, sifted
6 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Powdered sugar (optional for decoration)
Directions:
FOR CAKE:
PREHEAT oven to 375° F. Grease 15 x 10-inch jelly-roll pan; line with wax paper. Grease and flour paper. Sprinkle a thin, cotton kitchen towel with powdered sugar.
COMBINE flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves and salt in small bowl. Beat eggs and granulated sugar in large mixer bowl until thick. Beat in pumpkin. Stir in flour mixture. Spread evenly into prepared pan. Sprinkle with nuts.
BAKE for 13 to 15 minutes or until top of cake springs back when touched. (If using a dark-colored pan, begin checking for doneness at 11 minutes. Immediately loosen and turn cake onto prepared towel. Carefully peel off paper. Roll up cake and towel together, starting with narrow end. Cool on wire rack.
FOR FILLING:
BEAT cream cheese, 1 cup powdered sugar, butter and vanilla extract in small mixer bowl until smooth. Carefully unroll cake. Spread cream cheese mixture over cake. Reroll cake. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate at least one hour. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.
COOKING TIP:
Be sure to put enough powdered sugar on the towel when rolling up the cake so it will not stick.
Go to "Food Network". They have all kinds of recipes from easy to complicated. Biscuits are not easy to start with and cake can be made from a box with additives to give it a special taste. If you are not familiar with baking, take the time to read some books or visit websites. Cooking is an art. Baking is a science. It requires actions and reactions. Until you are familiar with them, use a mix and read. Take a class. It is fun and you will learn something that gives you the freedom to create, yet teaches you the basics.
There is a very good recipe for Lemon Meringue Pie. It's on the box of Argo corn starch.
BANANA COFFEE BREAD
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
3/4 c. mashed ripe bananas
1 1/4 c. flour
3/4 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs one at a time. Stir in bananas. Add sifted dry ingredients. Mix well. Pour into greased 9 x 9 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Baking Soda 1 t.
Baking Powder 1 t.

Butter, Unsalted 125 g.
Sugar, Refined 285 g.
Eggs Room temp. 2pcs.
Vanilla 1 t.
Milk, Evaporated 60 g.
Water 60 g.
Lemon Juice 30g.
Bananas Very ripe, mashed 4 pcs.
Walnuts Roughly chopped 90 g.
Mis en Place:
? Preheat oven to 350F/175C.
? Grease and flour two 7x3 inch loaf pans.
Procedure:
? Sift together flour, baking powder baking soda and salt. Set aside.
? Combine milk, water and lemon juice to make sour milk. Set aside.
? Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy; about 10 mins.
? Add in eggs and vanilla gradually, beating well after each addition.
? To the butter mixture, alternately add flour, banana and sour milk solutions.
? Add lightly toasted nuts.
? Pour into prepared pans.
? Bake for 45 mins. to 1 hour, or until wooden toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Chocolate Raspberry Bundt Cake
1 18.25 oz. pkg chocolate cake mix with
pudding
12 oz Semisweet chocolate morsels
1/2 cup Raspberry puree or jam
8 oz Low fat sour cream
2 tablespoons Chopped pecans
Prepare cake mix according to directions; stir in 1 cup (8 oz) chocolate morsels. Spoon 1/2 batter into greased, floured tube pan. Spoon raspberry puree on top, swirl puree slightly with a knife, then pour in remaining batter.
Bake at 350-degrees for 35 to 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes, then cool completely on a wire rack.
Melt remaining chocolate morsels in a heavy saucepan over low heat, stirring often. Remove melted chocolate from heat and gradually stir in sour cream. (If glaze is too thick add 1 T. milk.)
Drizzle glaze over cooled cake, top with chopped pecans.
