you keep staying by the stove when noooodles are being made then keep lokin at it then they won't burn peace love ya by.

I dont know how you guys make chili but maybe you could boil/cook the noodles separately and add them at the end when the chili is all cooked and done?

what the heII kind of chili are making? You must be from Ohio or something. Chilli is made with Beef, tomatoe sauce, beans if you want and onion and garlic and spices. No noodles, that's beefy macaroni or hamburger helper.

I'm with juddyp...WHY for heavens sake would anyone put noodles in their chili

I have never heard of noodles in chili either but anything I have to cook all day like that I like to use a crock pot. They cook more evenly and unless you totally neglect it stuff does not burn.

If you are adding beef, this is probably what is causing the burning. Cook the noodles separately and then add them to the chili.

Actually, real chili does not have noodles. I think maybe your sweet hubby is making spaghetti. Here is one recipe you might want to try someday:
Ray's chili:

Heat deep non-stick pan on medium for 5 minutes WITHOUT OIL OR BUTTER;

Brown one lb of 70 to 75% beef (can be cooked without beef too);

Add half of a small onion chopped after meat's red-raw-look is gone;

Add large can Hormel chili without beans;

Add small can Hormel chili with beans;

Ro-Tel, medium or mild found in the canned tomato section at the store;

1/8 to 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder is you have it. Chili is good without it;

Cook about 50 minutes on low or simmer.

Be sure to stir every 15 minutes and watch the clock or it will burn.
