What can i use to substitute red wine vinegar?!


Question: i'm making greek salad....i have white, cider and rice viegar in the house as well as red wine.....but it calls for red wine vinegar!

basically any vinegar except balsamic should be fine...balsamic would taste fine but would be too dark for a nice greek salad!!!

i would use the cider vinegar, definitely not the red wine, the dressing needs an acidic component as well as the oil.

Try Masala wine. Good luck

Take some dry red wine and mix it with your white cider 2 parts cider one part red wine and whala

cider is the same

I always use lemon juice in Greek salad. If you prefer to use a vinegar I'd go for white wine vinegar over cider or rice vinegars.

Use the rice vinegar.
