I made a delicious quesadilla out of a peice of pita yesterday. Good with a LOT of sour cream. Improvisation makes lots of things better!

Almost anytime I make a sandwich, it is an exercise in improvisation, but more often because I am unwilling to limit ingredients, than lack them, or just feel like trying out something different. It's what sandwiches and tacos were made for. I think you'll find more often than not, within certain limits, the results of such combinations are uniquely delicious.

this is not so much an improvisation but i like to make grilled salami, ham & cheese sandwiches. they are really yummy on french bread.

There have been times I've had one piece of brown bread and one piece of white bread for a sandwich, and I just made the sandwich with the two different kinds of bread.
If I'm making a sandwich with deli meat, I'll put mustard on one piece of bread, mayonnaise on the other piece of bread, add a slice of cheese and the meat, and have that.
Sometimes when you improvise, the results are better than what you originally planned.

me2, great minds think alike.
