Anyone know any good tomato free, soy free, peanut/tree nut free recepies?!

Question: Because of allergies, we have very limited food choices. My kids are on the picky side! I feel like we're in a major food rut. I am looking for things that are:

1. Easy to make
2. Better if use a crock-pot or the likes
3. Have ingredients that aren't too exotic

Any ideas?

Thanks!!

There are some great recipe sites out there like recipezaar, allrecipes, foodnetwork, etc... Just check out some recipes for things your family likes and look at the ingredient lists to rule out ones that don't work.

Some ideas for the crock pot:
Chicken & dumplings
Beef stew (most don't call for any tomato products)
Chicken & rice soup
Potato soup

Other Ideas:
Soft tacos (use grilled chicken or ground beef. just saute with bell peppers & onions if you kids will eat that. roll in flour or corn tortillas (check ingredients for soybean oil) add cheese, sour cream, lettuce, guacamole, whatever you like.

Pasta... make with pesto sauce, or alfredo sauce, or a simple olive oil and parmesan sauce. top with chicken or shrimp or pancetta... great for improvising. There's also something called a "white lasagna" which is made with a white sauce & doesn't have tomato sauce in it.

Sour Cream Chicken Enchiladas

Chicken Pot Pie

Mac & Cheese w/Ham

Beef Stroganoff

Swedish Meatballs

Homemade baked chicken tenders or fish sticks (just coat fish or chicken with homemade bread crumbs & some seasoning, spray with non soy-based cooking spray & bake.

Anyway, hope some of these will delight your family. I understand how tough it is to keep things fresh & different when dealing with allergies.

Good luck!
