What SEASONINGS make a great spicy garden salad?!
Answers: Add a mix of FRESH chopped herbs such as cilantro, basil, dill and chives to the greens. Then add thinly sliced poblano peppers (mild to medium spicey) or thinly sliced jalapeno peppers (very spicy). Make a vinaigrette dressing with red wine vinager or balsamic vinager, olive oil, a packet of garlic&herb salad dressing seasoning (found with the bottled dressings at the market) and 1 to 2 teaspoons of dry chili flakesto it. So good! Top the salad with a bit of shredded pepper jack cheesealong with your other salad toppers such as croutons, tomatoes, cucumbers ...
Chili in the dressing.
SPICY GINGER SALAD DRESSING

2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons sesame oil
1-2 tablespoons fresh ground ginger
2 teaspoons soy sauce
1-2 tablespoons hot chili oil
pinch salt
pinch garlic powder
Combine all and mix before serving
If you like spicy salads, you can add some of the following:
a little bit of ground black pepper
or a little of garlic salt,
also, you can try:
1/2 cup green or red onion
1 green or red pepper
1 or 2 cloves of garlic (finely chopped)
you can add some pasta and balsamic vinegarette dressing, just to mention a few
Prepare your salad and then:
Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, oregano and basil over it (lightly)
Next, drizzle Extra Virgin Olive Oil (use the best you can afford-you don't need much) and a good vinegar (red wine, balsalmic, apple or other)
Toss your salad to mix the flavorings.
Enjoy!
