Do you have an easy yet great steak recipe you wish to share?!

Question: I am making steak tonight - so nothing that has to marinate for hours or over night. Also, how long to cook if I want medium-well (my husband is going to want well done). We are not going to be grilling tonight either (SNOW). THANKS IN ADVANCE!

I love steak, so i am a little jealous you are having it tonight. Here is how i prepare mine. First i use a dry rub consiting of Salt, Pepper, Garlic powder, Onion powder, Paprika, Montreal Seasoning, and roasted garlic pepper. Put a nice coat over each side. Dont over do it, then i charbroil it. I have a show kitchen so i have a charbroiler. If you dont, grill it. If you still cant, i prefer cast iron skillets. Cook it until rare which is about a minute on each side depending on the temp. Then i make a simple Au Jus out of onions and rosemary. I place the steaks into this au jus and place them into the oven for about 5 minutes or until Medium rare. that flavor soaks in and BAM!!!! pure heaven. And please please dont use steak sauce. You wont need to. Best of luck

6 Min's on each side, as far a prep, work, I would make an herb butter, on top of the steak , make in advance, and stick in the fridge, Best bet is to wrap it in plastic wrap to give it a shape and slice. If you have a good cut of steak, frying it in a cast iron pan , with olive oil and salt and pepper should be fine.

if u want take some prime choice steak make a rub and rub it on the steak then cook it, sautee some veggies and make a grownup, easy mash potatoes to go with that: potatoes sour cream chives bacon paprika pepperjack cheese

I love steak fajitas!

If you have a grill pan you could use that and finish them off in the oven. We just use garlic salt and pepper. Or you could fry them in a nonstick pan for flavor and color and then finish them off in the oven. Our favorite steak sauce is 1 cup sour cream with as much horseradish as you can handle :) (I usually do about 1/4c.) Sometimes I make garlic butter to pour over the top too. Good luck!
