Why do some kentucky fried chicken's have buffet's and some don't have them.?!

Question: It's up to the franchise owner whether it has a buffet or not. Most franchisees seem to think a buffet is less profitable.
(It sure would be if it was near me! LOL)
Given that they don't cook the chicken to order anyway, this seems like a foolish move for most locations-but then again, I could be wrong.

I dunno, but they all should.

I believe that most fast food chains have "experiements" they design for different stores in different areas, whether it be a new product they want to try out or perhaps even a buffet. If the idea sells, then they do a marketing research to see if they can sell it elsewhere and what parts of the country are most apt to purchase their product. I have never eaten in a KFC on the West Coast that sports a buffet, but what a great idea if they all did!

the biggest difference is location!!!! smaller the population usually dont have buffets as to higher populations do!!!!

I've never seen KFC with a buffet!

KFC, like many other fast food chains are franchises. Many of the KFC chains are also Taco Bell outlets as well, It has to to do with their Franchise agreements.

they are going upscale.

I think the reason some have buffets and some don't is based on how big the town is and how much business they think the buffet in generate. . . In some smaller towns it just would not have sense to have a buffet. . .the bigger towns really do a booming business with the buffets

i have no idea but when we went on vacation and stopped at a kfc in like nebraska or something they had one! it was amazing! they had endless amounts of mashed potatoes :]

i dont think every resturant could afford it ha

idk!Ilike chicken~

I live in england, i have never seen them here.

Some of them are privately owned. I live in a small town of less than 2,000 people and there are two kfcs. Not only does one of them not have a buffet, they also don't serve spicy chicken.
