What is the best recipe to "get to a man's heart?"?!
Answers: What are some tradditional dishes (or sure fire dishes) that works well for a romantic evening? Any love potions in food?
All food is love.
For a carnivorous man, I feed him a Chateaubriand steak, seasoned with a touch of salt and pepper, twice baked potatoes or rice pilaf, lots of very good red wine, and chocolate mousse for dessert. For fish or seafood lovers, it's shrimp cocktail, grilled or broiled salmon, asparagus, and lemon meringue pie. I serve a bright, light, very dry white wine. For those few pure vegetarians or vegans, they have gotten sweet and sour tofu with lots of veggies, brown rice, and apple spice cake. I serve cold cider, or a good green tea. If they drink wine, they'd get a wine similar to the salmon dinner's wine.
Cheers!
Find out his favorites and then make then to the best of you ability. Remember the food is only part of the plan, atmosphere and company are the other two major factors.

well depends on the man but most men like meat and potatoes... so something like a roast with potatoes and some veggies, steaks, or even a hearty italian dish like lasagna would be good! I would feature a hearty meat and some well rounded veggies and a good loaf of french breat maybe with some dipping oil!
start off with some drinks, followed by a steak dinner, finish with...
Hopefully he'll recognize that by preparing the meal, you've shown him love. As for how to get to a man's heart... Steak, prepared medium rare, steamed vegies. That's all. Leave him hungry for more. You're the desert.
Meat and potatoes are always...always...always a hit!
But, for a real romantic night, lobster tail is a big hit. Its also believed to be an aphrodisiac (essentially, a love potion!). Very easy to cook, simply stick a skewer through it to prevent curling, and stick it in a pot with a small amount of boiling water to steam it. It's done in 2-3 minutes!
I love Meat Loaf and Au-gratin Potatoes.
Serve good food well prepared with a nice table setting and use good manners. This is always good. Now the one thing you must NEVER serve your man is hot tongue and cold shoulder... OK?
Cheers
Lisa
I would suggest a big steak, chips/ mash potatoes/ some vegetable just to look nice but they only really want the steak:-)
