What is the difference between parmigiano and parmesan cheese?!

Different way of saying it.

They are the same, but don't buy the junk in a shaker box. Get the good stuff and grate it yourself.

A bit more costly, but worth it.

Parmesan is just the American (and French) name for Parmigiano-Reggiano, which comes from the area around the Italian city of Parma.

No difference except langague Parmigiano is Italian and Parmesan is the French version.

The language used to say it. It's the same thing.
