Anyone know any good recipes for biscuits?!


Question: my mother in law gave us some gravy but didn't have any biscuits left, just wondering how to make the buscuits to go with the gravy!!

My family loves these biscuits with gravy.

CHEDDAR CHEESE BISCUITS
2 cups bisquick baking mix
2/3 cup milk
1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Heat oven to 450. Mix baking mix, milk, & cheese until a soft dough forms; beat vigorously for 30 seconds. Drop dough by spoonfuls onto an ungreased cooking sheet. Bake 8 - 10 minutes or until golden brown.
Mix butter & garlic powder. Brush garlic mixture over warm biscuits before removing from cookie sheet. Serve warm. Makes 12.

peel back the foil till the tube pops. Pull out the individual pieces of dough and arrange them on a cookie sheet. Follow cooking directions on tube and enjoy. It's the gravy that makes the dish not the biscuit!!!

Go to the freezer section at your grocery store and buy microwave Pillsbury's pre-made frozen biscuits. Just pop one or more into your microwave for a few seconds. Delicious.

2 C Bisquick

1/2 C butter or margarine
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

4 oz. (1 cup) shredded Cheddar cheese
1 (12-oz.) can Pillsbury? Golden Layers? Refrigerated Buttermilk Biscuits
1. Heat oven to 400°F. Line 8-inch round cake pan with foil. Generously spray
foil-lined pan with cooking spray.
2. In small bowl, combine cheese and garlic powder; mix well. Separate dough
into 10 biscuits. Cut each biscuit into quarters. Layer half the biscuits in greased
pan. Sprinkle with half the cheese. Repeat layers.
3. Bake at 400°F. for 20 to 26 minutes. Lift biscuits from pan using foil.
Cool 5 minutes. Carefully remove foil from biscuits. Place on serving plate. Serve warm.

On the back of the baking powder can is a very good recipe. =)

There is a really good recipe on the back of White Lily flour bag.
Not sure the exact measurements, but I think it calls for:

flour
shortening
and
buttermilk

Bojangles Biscuits recipe
2 cups self-rising flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons confectioners' sugar
1/3 cup Crisco
1 cup buttermilk

Knead and roll out to about 1/2-inch thick. Cut and dip into warm, melted butter. Let set about 30 minutes on a baking sheet. Bake at 450 degrees F until lightly browned on top.



Popeye's Biscuits recipe
4 cups Bisquick
4 ounces sour cream
1 cup club soda (at room temperature)
1/2 cup (1 stick) margarine

Heat oven to 375 degrees F.

Mix Bisquick, sour cream and club soda together. Pour onto floured surface and knead very lightly. Roll out to about 1/2-inch thickness and cut with cutter. Melt butter and pour half into a glass casserole dish. Place biscuits in dish and pour remaining butter over top of biscuits.
