Thank you in advance.

Answers: How do you think beer bread would taste if it was made with Guiness? I'm planning on making some bread, but I've never made beer bread before, and I only have Guiness around... Will that do?
Thank you in advance.

2 1/2 cups self rising flour
12 ounces room temperature beer (the better the beer, the better the bread. I use Harps beer made by Guiness in Dublin)
Hand mix all ingredients only until well mixed (do not beat or use a mixer).
Put mixture into a greased loaf pan.
Preheat your oven to 375o F degrees.
Bake for 45 minutes.
Guinness is known for its bitter, strong taste and smell. The beer Bread might be a little bitter but its worth it.
You can really use any kind of beer. But like libbyami said, the better the beer, the better the bread. But yes, Guiness will work for beer bread.
3 cups self rising flour
2 tbls sugar
12 oz of good beer
mix all ingredeints together with a spoon. grease loaf pan with butter.
bake at 350 for 50-60 minutes til toothpick comes out clean.
the more flavorful the beer the better the bread. my favorite combination as of yet is Rogue Chipotle Ale then i add some canned green diced chiles and chipotle chedder cheese. yummy, you can also make it with hard ciders or fruity beers if you want more of a lite deserty bread. have fun with it be creative! the options are endless!
