Is it a zucchini or cucumber?!
Answers: I just bought what was labeled by the grocery store as a zucchini. I cut it to cook it and it smells like a cucumber and kind of tastes like one too. Is this common in zucchini? or do I have a cucumber....
If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck......you know the rest........If it's juicy and watery when cut, and is transluscent, then it's a cucumber.....cukes usually have a thicker skin than zucchini do.....and they that a higher moisture content.....Zucchini are white/yellow white inside and are denser than cukes.....Enjoy!!!

They look similar but the zucchini has a little florett at one end. (cucumbers don't) That's how you can tell them apart.
Its similar but doesnt have the water content a cucumber does. Plus a cucumber is tougher. A zucchini is closer to an eggplant for texture.
you prob got an english cucumber it looks alot like a zucc.
I think it is an American word for courgettes, which are just like mini cucumbers
Probably labeled wrong at the supermarket. Cucumbers are usually oiled to help keep them shiny. Zuchinis have a vine remnant at one end like a pumpkin does.
cucumbers usually have softer flesh inside, there is a higher water content. They are both part of the gourd family.
Besides the floret a cucumber (unless is the English varietyor whatever) will be a little "juicier", with lots of sppeds, and a watery looking center. The zuccini will tast a little like squash.
