Ahh, what can I do with honey? ice cream?!

Question: I have half a jar of honey in my house and I don't know what to do with it!

Could I possibly make honey ice cream with yogurt, milk, and sugar?

Recipes?

THANKS!

You can probably make icecream but what I have done before is just bought some plain vanilla icecream and stirred in some honey and crunchy peanut butter...its so yummy! I also like to add honey to savoury dishes. Use it to marinate chicken breasts or salmon with some mustard aswel...the two go very well together :) Good luck!

You could go to www.foodnetwork.com and look for some honey recipes. You can add it to your cup of tea, make some toast with butter & honey. Honey is so good & good for you, I'm sure there are lots of things you can do with it. Google honey for recipes too!

U can eat honey with butter or peanut butter. Also u can make a honey pie or make some pancake and put on it honey, I tried it.Very tasty!!=)

I always use it instead of sugar in apple pie, & it's great just drizzled over roasting birds mmmm sticky coating. I also mix it with mustard, butter, olive oil, salt & pepper to make a root veggie roasting coating - fantastic on turnips (swedes) and parsnips! But just drizzled over natural yoghurt, on its own or with dried fruit (think Jamie Oliver in the Sainsbury's ad) is good. Honey is super-versatile.

I would make a "burned" honey ice cream.

Ingredients:
5 egg yolks, 1 pint (500ml) milk, 1/2 pint (250ml) double/heavy cream, 1/2 cup honey, 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

Remove from the heat, strain and leave to cool.

Stir in the cream and the vanilla essence and then transfer the whole mixture into an ice cream maker. Freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions.
