Does it take longer to cook whole wheat rice?!

Question: Does it take longer to cook whole wheat rice? Do you need more water than you normally use when cooking white rice? I’m using a rice cooker. Thanks.

A Link in how to cook rice in a pressure cooker.

comparing the time it takes for white rice and brown rice (4 minutes vs 18 minutes), yes.

I would recommend using a standard rice cooker though and do a 1.5:1 water to rice for non-japanese rice or follow the instruction on the rice pack.

That's my website for sushi which might give you some suggestion on how to use your rice!:)

Yes, whole grain rice usually takes 40 minutes, versus white rice for 20 minutes.

Do you mean "brown rice"? Yes it does because it is a harder rice, also the instant requires more time to get soft.

There is no such thing as whole wheat rice-they are two seperate grains.
