Is it ok to use canning salt in everyday cooking? Why or why not?!

Question: I have some food intolerances and am currently thinking about salt and its additives. Canning salt is just that...salt. Can it be used in regular cooking?

Yes, it's simply pure salt (sodium chloride) without the anti-caking agents and iodine added. As we do need iodine in our diets and table salt is one of the places that we regularly get it, you might not want to totally avoid it. For more than you ever wanted to know about salt check out:

I don't think so, I don't know why either. But try sea salt.

for me there is no difference..it is the same salt, my grandma use it in cooking too

Yes, you can use canning salt in cooking, but don't use regular (iodized) salt in canning.
