May I have your ideas for pork chops?!
Answers: I need ideas. Usually I just use a bit of lemon pepper and cook some mixed veggies on the side. But I would like to try something different tonight. Thanks for your ideas!
I saw Giada do a fabulous looking recipe the other day that I plan to try BRB I will send you the link...
EDIT
aw heres the recipe
Parmesan-Crusted Pork Chops
Recipe courtesy Giada De Laurentiis
2 large eggs
1 cup dried Italian-style bread crumbs
3/4 cups freshly grated Parmesan
4 (1/2 to 3/4-inch thick) center-cut pork loin chops (each about 10 to 12 ounces)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
6 tablespoons olive oil
Lemon wedges, for serving
Whisk the eggs in a pie plate to blend. Place the bread crumbs in another pie plate. Place the cheese in a third pie plate. Sprinkle the pork chops generously with salt and pepper. Coat the chops completely with the cheese, patting to adhere. Dip the chops into the eggs, then coat completely with the bread crumbs, patting to adhere.
Heat 3 tablespoons of oil in a very large skillet over medium heat. Add pork chops, in batches if necessary, and cook until golden brown and the center reaches 150 degrees, about 6 minutes per side. Transfer the chops to plates and serve with lemon wedges.
The best pork chops Ive ever had just used salt and pepper, and a charcoal grill. Thats just my opinion, but to each his own.
could marinate the pork chops for a couple of hours in some a-1 marinade sauce (in the ketchup aisle) or make your owner with some cooking oil and various spices. if you like spicy try some Asian seasonings and pan fry it serve with steamed veggies with lemon pepper on veggies and rice pilaf
Brown them first and then pour on a can of creamed soup. Let them simmer for about 45 min to an hour. Makes a really nice gravy for your potatoes or rice or whatever. Cream of chicken is a really good one, but you can use cream of celery or mushroom as well. You can cook them right in the frying pan you browned them in if you have a lid for it, or use an electric frying pan or brown them and put them in your slow cooker. Try it at least once, I think you'll like it.
Put down a bed of sourkraut in a roaster.
Place pork chops or whatever cut of pork you have on top of sourkraut bed.
Cut a bunch of apples to cover them. (cheat by substituting apples sauce)
Add butter on top, if desired.
Sprinkle with cinnamon.
Roast in oven until everything is tender. Pork chops should be almost falling off the bones.
This is a dish that my grandma makes for a polish new years meal. My mom has made it as a regular dinner. Mom cheats with apple sauce. I don't know the temp or the time, but it shouldn't be too hard to guess. I haven't eaten this dish in quite some time, because I'm a vegetarian now, but I remember it being quite tasty. The apples drip their sweetness into the porkchops and sourkraut... mmmm, yummy!
Dijon pork chops
Use about 1 tablspoon of melted REAL butter and a tsp of Dijon mustard PER chop.
Melt the butter and mix in the dijon mustard.
Dip the chops in the mix until coated then coat with italian bread crumbs
Bake
enjoy!
The really are very yummy
This is something I do on a busy weeknight.
Season the pork chops with salt, pepper, and poultry seasoning - brown them in a skillet on each side.
In the same skillet you browned the chops, stir in a package of yellow rice(I think Goya makes one, I use one that comes in a bag) and add the water amount from the cooking instructions on the rice packet. Bring it to a boil and then when you turn it down to simmer on low, add the chops in with the rice to finish cooking the rest of the way. Put the cover on as directed on the rice
I usually serve with steamed green beans or broccoli.
YOu can use any flavored rice mix in a pinch, even Rice-a-roni.
I love applesauce porkchops.
This is what I do:
Preheat oven to 350 F
Brown porkchops and place into shallow baking pan
Generously spread applesauce over porkchops and cover.
Bake at 350 F for 1hour.
Tasty and moist! YUMMMM!!!
