it is fat
take it out the fridge
get kitchen paper on the side and lift off with a spoon as much solid as you can, put on the paper
once you re heat the stew, skim off the fat again from the liquid, you will see it form little circles on top of the gravy
it is fine to eat but you should have skimmed before chilling but it wont do any harm at all or taste bad
the hard fat you took off onto the paper, throw outside for the birds, they love it!
it is grease, warm it back up and it will melt
it is the fat released from the meat take it off to reduce some of the fat content it will not be low fat but it will reduce some of the fat
Yeah its just fat! you don't sound like an idiot, it's doesn't look very nice does it?
just before you start heating it to eat just skim the fat of the top with a spoon and it will be fine to eat. you can eat it but i would personally skim it off because its healthier and it doesn't look pleasant. hope that helps you.
it's fat
i think it's ok 2 eat
and u don't sound like a *diot
That mystery substance is probably fat, and yes you most assuredly do sound like an idiot.
sounds like fat
fat is not good to eat, but if you remove it before reheating it, then your stew maybe dried out. You got to know that stew is fattening, so removing the frozen fat will not make a difference; just chump it up........then run it off.
It is a layer of fat that has congealed to the top of the stew..
It is actually a good thing as it helps with the conservation of the stew, by keeping the oxidants from penetrating to within the stew..
You can scoop it out with a spoon or a ladle
its fat and you can either scrap it off and throw it away, i do or heat it with it on top and mix it back in, your choice...safe to eat but not good for the heart
