I think it means "Not Otherwise Specified"

no. is an abbreviation for number of so my best bet is that it is referring to the quantity. ex 2 onions, 4 cardamom pods, ect.

My guess is numbers.

Well, the recipe comes from someone in India, so my assumption is that it's more or less translated poorly. I believe Nos just refers to the quantity and is an abbreviation for "Numbers". Of course, we wouldn't write a recipe with "1 number tomato" or "2 number potato" but english is probably not the first language of the person that wrote it. I do believe that it just signifies the quantity to be used.

Not Otherwise Specified

In this case, it seems to be referring to number of or quantity. such as 2 large potatoes or 2 medium potatoes, etc. i think they're just using it an abreviation for "numbers" of.

nos is not otherwise specified....it is dealing with eating disorders ....the entirety is ednos.

"nos" is being used as an abbreviation for "numbers" or simply speaking it depicts quantity.I know it doesnt make sense but thats the way it works where this recipe comes from.
Cheers!
