Can anybody read the ingredient for this recipe?!

Question: The recipe calls for 2 1/2.25 ounce package of dry yeast, but I don't know how to interpret this, Can anybody say this in words? The package I have weighs 8 ounces, but I don't know what 2 1/2.25 ounce means.

i am interpretting that as
two and a half packets that are .25 each in weight
meaning that you should be using approx .62oz (please note the decimal point before the 62)

you dont need a lot of yeast but that doesnt sound quite enough

1 and a half ounces

I think what it means you want 21 pecent of a 2.5 ounce bag. 2.5 ounces converts to 70.87381 so there for you want 21 pecent of that wich is about 3.37 grams or .11887 ounce.

I agree with fi, (the first response)!!!

The recipe calls for 2 1/2 packages of .25 ounce per package dry yeast (A package or envelope of dry yeast weighs .25 ounces or 1/4 ounce). This converts to .625 ounces.

One package of dry yeast also equals 2 1/4 teaspoons. So 2 1/2 packages times 2 1/4 teaspoons equals 5.625 teaspoons.
5.625 teaspoons = 5 teaspoons + 1/2 teaspoon + 1/8 teaspoon,
or 1 tablespoon + 2 teaspoons + 1/2 teaspoon + 1/8 teaspoon.
