How can I make sushi without raw fish?!

Question: I often make California rolls (sushi rice, nori, carrots, cucumber, avocado & crab meat) but I’m getting bored with that.

What other sushi items can I prepare without raw fish?

P.S. I love all kinds of sushi but I’m too nervous to serve raw fish at home.

Well if you are really willing to do any sushi but skip the raw, you can do tempura rolls. Cook shrimp or vegeys in a tempura batter and then roll like your california. Spider roll is a favorite of mine which is tempura soft shell crab. I often see smoked salmon rolls sometimes with cream cheese in them, you can just purchase lox or other smoked salmon for that. I've seen rolls with tofu and other vegetables. Go to your favorite sushi spot and review the menu, there are typically a handful of cooked items. One of my favorite spots has baked fish rolls too. Tuna, salmon, etc.

I can't say enough that this is the best recipe web site out there, i Iove the rating system and the advance search allows you to look for recipes with only items you want to use. I am certain you will find the answer here.

You can use anything cooked. You can use cooked tuna, crab, or shrimp. Change up the things you're wrapping up. Try a sliver of jalapeno and cream cheese!

Use shrimp or you can get some canned tuna and use it as well....Spam works too.

instead of using raw fish you could put bits of veg in it so it would be seaweed rice and peppers or something like that or some cooked chicken instead of fish

SUSHI MADE WITH RAW FISH IS SASHIMI.
ALL SASHIMI IS SUSHI.
NOT ALL SUSHI IS SASHIMI.

try smoked salmon
