How do you stuff manicotti shells?!

I just discovered a really easy way to do it: Put the filling in a ziploc type bag (probably gallon size). Cut off one of the corners, just enough to let the filling out. Squeeze the filling into both ends of the shell. It is much easier than using a spoon!

I have always used a teaspoon or a baby spoon and haven't had any troubles. If you don't overcook the noodles you should be able to squeeze the filling into the middle if you want to do it that way. If they are cooked just before al dente then they will not rip or tear on you.

Make sur eyou don't cook them too long, but I'm guessing they're already cooked. Next time, don't cook them any longer than about 6 minutes, or they get too soft.

I basically hold the tube with one end against the palm of my hand. Then I use my other hand to carefully stuff the shell - by hand. Yes, it's VERY messy but I don't know how to do it otherwise.

If anyone has any tips I'd like to hear them too!

Hmmm, like the baggie idea. A pastry bag should work too!

I don't. I make crepes and roll them up. Cover with a rich marinara and bake with cheese on top. Authentic cannelloni!

I just pipe it in with a pastry bag......the zip loc bag idea is great if you don't have a pastry bag......Enjoy your manicotti!!

I have no way of knowing but what about piping it----adding mixture in a ziplock bag---cut the tip off and squeeze as if you are wrinting on a cake----maybe that will work----might try

if you put the filling in a plastic zip type bag, and then cut one corner off, you can squeeze the filling into the pasta.
